Monday Manna w/ Pastor Batiste - “Pressure Has a Purpose”

Aug 3, 2026    Pastor Lamar Batiste

I am looking forward to what God is going to teach us throughout this series. Yesterday, we began talking about Faith Under Pressure and were reminded that pressure has a way of revealing what is really in us.

It is easy to talk about faith when life is comfortable. But when life gets heavy, faith has to become more than something we say. It has to become something we depend on.

James reminds us that the pressure we face does not have to be wasted. God can use what tests us to mature us, strengthen us, and develop endurance in us. That means while we are praying for God to bring us out, we should also ask, “Lord, what are You producing in me while I am in it?”

So as we move through this week, do not let the pressure cause you to think God is absent. He may be working deeper than you can see.

“What puts your faith under pressure may also be what God uses to bring your faith to maturity.”

Prayer: Lord, help me trust You when life puts my faith under pressure. Give me endurance, wisdom, and a heart that remembers that despite everything You are still good. Teach me to see what You are producing in me, even while I am waiting for You to bring me through. Amen.
