Monday Manna w/ Pastor Batiste - “Let the Word Follow You Home”

It is possible to hear a good Word and still walk away unchanged. We can listen, agree, say “Amen,” and even feel encouraged, but James reminds us that real faith does not stop at hearing. It responds.

Yesterday, we were reminded that God did not give us His Word to fill our minds. He gave us His Word to shape our lives. The real question is not only, “Did I hear the Word?” The deeper question is, “What will I do with what God showed me?”

The Word ought to follow us home. It should shape our conversations, guide our decisions, soften our hearts, and show up in how we treat people.

“Do not leave satisfied because you heard the Word. Leave determined to live what you heard.”

Prayer: Lord, help me not to be just a listener. Let Your Word take root in my heart and show up in my life. Teach me to receive it humbly, respond to it obediently, and live it faithfully. Amen.
