Monday Manna w/ Pastor Batiste - “Watch What You Release”
After yesterday’s word, this week we must be intentional about watching the words we release from our mouths.
Words may leave quickly, but they do not always land lightly. A sentence spoken in anger, a comment made out of frustration, or something repeated without care can create damage we never intended.
James reminds us that real faith should reach our mouth. It should affect how we speak when we are hurt, how we respond when we are frustrated, and how we talk about people when they are not present.
So this week, before we speak, post on social media, or text someone, let’s chew on our words before we spit them out. Then ask ourselves: Will these words build up or tear down? Will they bring grace or create harm? Do they sound like the faith I say is in my heart?
“Because the most spiritual thing you can do is not say everything you are thinking.”
Prayer: Lord, help me watch what I release. Guard my mouth when I am angry, frustrated, hurt, or tempted to speak too quickly. Let my words bring grace, healing, and life. Amen.
