Monday Manna w/ Pastor Batiste - “More Than Words”

Jun 29, 2026    Pastor Lamar Batiste

Yesterday reminded us that we cannot just talk about justice, sing about righteousness, or worship God with our lips while ignoring what He requires from our lives. Justice must be more than words; it must shape our lives.

As you prepare to celebrate the 4th of July this weekend, remember that freedom is a gift, and justice is a responsibility. Many of us learned to say, “liberty and justice for all,” but Amos reminds us that justice is not just something to recite. It is something we are called to live.

God is not only concerned with what happens in the sanctuary. He is concerned with how we treat people in our homes, communities, relationships, and world. True worship should shape how we live after the song is over.

So this week, let justice roll through our actions, let righteousness flow through our choices, and let our lives show what God requires from His people.

“Justice is more than something we say. It is something God calls us to show.”

Prayer: Lord, help my worship go beyond words. Shape my heart, my actions, and my choices so that justice rolls through my life and righteousness flows from my walk with You. Amen.
