“Pray First”

As I reflect on yesterday, I’m reminded how easy it is to carry what God told us to cast. We think it through, stress it out, and try to manage it when the first move should be prayer.

James makes it plain: whatever season you’re in, don’t suffer in silence, pray. Prayer keeps us connected to God when life feels heavy and our hearts feel tired.

“Prayer doesn’t change everything at once, but it changes us while we wait.”

What have you been holding that you need to put back in God’s hands today?

Lord, teach me to come to You first. Help me lay down what’s weighing me and trust You with it. Amen.
