"When God Makes You Wait"

Family, yesterday we talked about one of the hardest places to live, the delay. That space between a prayer request and a praise report. Jairus knew Jesus had the power, but what tested his faith was Jesus’ pace.

While Jesus was on the way to his house, He stopped to help someone else. From Jairus’ perspective, the delay may have felt dangerous… even costly. But what Jairus didn’t realize is that the delay wasn’t denying his miracle, it was developing his faith.

Here’s the truth we walked away with: Jesus is never late. What feels like a delay to us is often God setting the stage for something greater than we expected. The same Jesus who walks slowly can still speak suddenly.

So if you’re waiting today, don’t let fear talk you out of faith. Hold on to what Jesus already promised and keep walking with Him, even when the journey feels interrupted.

“What feels delayed in your hands is still right on time in God’s.”

Reflection Question:

Where do you need to keep trusting God, even though the answer hasn’t come yet?

Prayer:

Lord, help me trust You in the waiting. When my faith feels stretched and my patience feels thin, remind me that You’re still working. Teach me to believe, even in the delay. Amen.
